The Funky Nixons World Tour, commencing in late 1990 and continuing through the present, has taken the band all over the Greater Bay Area, along with a colorful trip to Nevada Test Site.
During the course of this marathon tour, the band has played in the same states as tours featuring the Rolling Stones, Madonna, and Britney Spears.
The media has been enthusiastic but unfortunately always busy on the days the band played. Thus, the band has not yet been featured in magazines such as Spin, People, and GQ. An interview has not yet appeared in the New York Times, and the band has yet to be photographed for the cover of Vogue.
Like all world-famous bands dealing with the pressures of the media and a frenzied fan base, the Funky Nixons employ a staff of public relations experts, who have photographed the band performing in such hallowed venues as the Berkeley Farmers Market, People's Park, and the Food Not Bombs Anniversary Concert.
