Direct Action author Luke Hauser (aka George Franklin aka a few other names) faces eviction from his longtime San Francisco home.
The eviction is not due to unpaid rent (I've paid every month for ten years) or any conflict with owners or housemates. It's due to the Victorian house being split into condos, and my room being in the path of progress...
Here is a full color photo of a genuine San Francisco eviction notice, posted on my door last week. You don't get many of these (if you're lucky), so I figured I better immortalize it in a JPG.
(Note the name on the notice - one of many pseudonyms used by our intrepid author!)
Here's a PDF file of the entire Notice, which I would say lacks inner tension and meaningful character development, but shows promise in the all-important dramatic conflict department. I look forward to reading later rewrites.
If there is sufficient public clamor, I will release an audiobook of myself doing a dramatic reading of aforesaid Notice, with musical accompaniment by the legendary Funky Nixons.
